Bio Sculpture Gel offers various different training courses in both Northern and Southern Ireland. Our courses are run regularly and we will always try and accommodate people as soon as possible.
We encourage nail technicians to improve their skills by learning new and advanced methods, this will give them confidence to try new things and improve their services to their clients. Every product is different and if they know how to use their chosen product correctly, they will benefit from excellent results without wasting time, product and money plus losing clients due to lack of product knowledge.
The Bio Sculpture training course is geared towards experienced nail technicians and we offer “product training” where we teach nail technicians how to use our product. Our theory is “Our product is only as good as the people using it”, therefore, we firmly believe that training is of the utmost importance, and time spent on thorough training will certainly benefit the nail technician as well as Bio Sculpture.
We sell a “Starter Kit” that includes everything the nail technician will need to do our system, as it is a system as a whole, so we strongly recommend that they do not combine other products with our gels, as these often cause lifting of the gel. Included in the Starter Kit is a full day’s training course, which we do encourage all purchases of the kit to participate in. We will train a second person on the same kit for an additional fee. In order to obtain a Bio Sculpture Certificate, all nail technicians need to be assessed, where they have the opportunity to return and show us that they are using the product correctly and also to ask any further questions. If they meet the required standard, we then issue them with a Bio Sculpture Certificate and Badge. Only once assessed can we recommend clients to them.
We include a Nail Technician’s Manual in the kit, which takes you step by step through each stage and has a trouble shooting section at the back. There is also a Bio Sculpture Training Course DVD available to purchase once you have completed the training course, to use as a backup tool to reinforce everything you have learnt.
We teach the following on our course:
- Introduction to our Products
- Preparation of the Nails
- Application of the Gel on Natural Nails – Colour and French overlay
- Application of the Gel over Tips
- Nail repair using Gel and Silk
- Home After Care and Maintenance
- Infills with the Gel
- Removal of the Gel – Soak Off
- We demonstrate Sculptures – nail extension with gel onto a nail form (there is a separate course that covers all the different methods of Sculptures in depth)
ASSESSMENT
In order to qualify for a Certificate of Merit, all nail technicians have to be assessed in the following areas, which are done on a model supplied by the technician
- Colour Gel Overlay on natural nails (using a Matt Gel and a Pearl Gel)
- French Gel Overlay on natural nails
- Gel Fill
- Nail Repair using silk
- Finishing off with S-Gel
- Completing a theory test in writing
- Introduction and update of all new products
